From December-April you can enjoy snow in southern Spain, just 16 miles from Malaga.
Sierra Nevada is at an altitude of 2100 m with lifts going up to 3282 m.
The ski resort is divided in 6 ski areas: Veleta, Laguna de las Yeguas, Borreguiles, Loma Dílar, Parador y Río.
There are 30 lifts (2 Gondolas, 15 Chairlifts, 5 Surface lifts and 8 Magic Carpets) and 103 pistes (16 green, 35 blue, 43 red, 9 black).
As evening falls, Maribel and Rio’s tracks are illuminated for skiing or snowboarding Night at special times with fresh snow tread. A total of 52 light points dotted along the 5.8 km route of two tracks, between Borreguiles and Pradollano.
For the ones who want to enjoy without skiing, you can have fun in Pradollano
The spot that guarantees the most fun is the Mirlo Blanco area, now an amusement park for you to enjoy the snow without putting on skis. A magic carpet, two 130-meter toboggan runs, sit-skiing, skate skiing, skibobbing…
And, don’t forget to try out the main attraction: the Russian Sleigh which will make you fly over the snow.
